My name is Ryan Hemphill. I am from McHenry, Illinois and earned my Bachelor of Science for Biological Science at Northern Illinois University. During my senior year at NIU I participated in a research laboratory under Dr. Ana Calvo studying gene expression in common species of the Aspergillus genus of fungal molds. While studying at UIC, I hope to further participate in research in regards to gene expression and cellular interactions with their environments.
