UIC welcomed its latest brood of Peregrine falcons at their nesting-site atop University Hall. Department Head Eric Stabb and Gina Vasquez, a BIOS major and future veterinarian, were present at the traditional banding of two falcon chicks on June 7th. The leg bands provide data on peregrine survival rates, dispersal distances, population growth rates and more.
