Dr. Brian Kay
This summer, after fifteen years at UIC, Dr. Brian Kay retired and became Emeritus Professor. As head of the department from 2005-2014, the hallmarks of Dr. Kay’s leadership included budgetary balance, increased mentorship, and support for students and faculty. He plans to continue his research and entrepreneurship, with a focus on generating recombinant antibodies to biomarkers of disease.
