Adjunct Bruce Patterson receives C. Hart Merriam Award
Bruce Patterson, long-time curator at The Field Museum and Adjunct Research Professor in BioS, has had his remarkable career recognized with the C. Hart Merriam Award by The American Society of Mammalogists. This high honor recognizes Bruce’s more than 200 scientific articles, distinguished record of conceptual, interdisciplinary research, promotion of museum collections, and use of collections to increase public understanding. Bruce credited those collections, the Museum’s strong academic colleagues, and its continuing support for basic research as instrumental to his success.
