I graduated from University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign in May 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in molecular and cellular biology and a minor in chemistry. Since graduating, I’ve held laboratory technician positions at numerous institutions including the Institute for Genomic Biology and Northwestern University. During my time as a lab tech I was able to explore plant biology, neuroscience, and microbiology, among others by assisting with existing research projects. I’m ecstatic to have the opportunity to continue exploring genetics, microbiology, cell biology and others during graduate school.
