Rachel Poretsky named American Society for Microbiology Distinguished Lecturer

Professor Rachel Poretsky has been named American Society for Microbiology Distinguished Lecturer for the 2026-2028 program.

The ASMDL Program annually selects a scientifically diverse group of lecturers to deliver lectures at ASM Branch meetings throughout the country. Lecturers are screened through a competitive nomination process, and only the most distinguished lecturers and researchers are selected to participate in the Program. The ASMDL Program has a tradition of scientific excellence that has made it a mainstay of Branch programming for over 60 years.

Congratulations to Dr. Poretsky for this honor.
