Please join us at 9:30 am for the LIN 2023 Careers in Neuroscience Seminar featuring Dr. Caitlin Vander Weele, founder and CEO of Stellate Communications.

Dr. Caitlin Vander Weele is the CEO of Stellate Communications, a public relations agency for scientists, by scientists. At Stellate, Caitlin and her team of ex-academics work with individual investigators, academic institutions, and science-driven nonprofits providing a wide range of communications support—mainstream media coverage, technical writing and grant applications, social media, websites and design, and everything in between. Prior to founding Stellate Comms, she was a PR professional specializing in executive thought leadership and social strategy for biopharmaceutical and healthcare companies. Caitlin earned her BS in Brain and Cognitive Sciences at The University of Michigan, and her PhD in neuroscience from MIT. Her research focused on identifying brain pathways involved in addiction, loneliness, and other motivated behaviors— work that was published in Nature, Science, and Cell.  In the Careers Talk, Caitlin will share her unusual path to carving out a startup in communications and lessons learned along the way.
