Spring Symposium in Neuroscience: Combating addiction: Novel insights into therapeutic targets

The Laboratory of Integrative Neuroscience will presenting its Spring Symposium in Neuroscience: "Combating addiction: Novel insights into therapeutic targets" on April 5 in Student Center East Cardinal Room, 750 South Halsted, from 10:00am-12:50 pm. This event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served before, during and after the symposium.

The symposium will feature two fantastic speakers: Antonello Bonci, NIH National Institute on Drug Abuse and Julia Lemos, University of Minnesota. LIN graduate students will also be presenting data blitzes about their research.

10:20 "How does a dysfunctional stress response system produce vulnerability to neuropsychiatric diseases?  Lessons from the CRF" system" Dr. Julia Lemos
11:25 Data blitz by LIN graduate students
11:50  "Synaptic plasticity, optogenetics, and a novel treatment against cocaine abuse" by Dr. Antonello Bonci
